Concordia sophomore shines at conference meet

Concordia Academy sophomore Barnabas Preble closed out the cross country season recently by racing in the conference and section meets. Among his accomplishments in the final two weeks of the season was a runner-up performance at conference.

Raiders cross country off to state this weekend

If it’s the first week of November, it means the Roseville Area High School girls cross country team should be preparing for the state meet. That’s exactly what the Raiders are doing after finishing second at the section meet last week.

Concordia Academy rolls in volleyball playoff opener

The volleyball teams from Concordia Academy and DeLaSalle appear destined to meet in the section final for the second consecutive season. The top two seeds had little trouble in winning their section playoff openers last week.

Beacons blanked in the first round

Not much went right for the Concordia Academy football team in its playoff opener last week. The Beacons gave up three first-quarter touchdowns and the ensuing two-point conversions and went on to lose 44-0 to Spectrum.

RAHS volleyball tracking another state berth

The Roseville Area High School volleyball team last week took the first step toward another berth in the state tournament. The Raiders, in search of a fifth consecutive trip to downtown St. Paul, rolled in their section playoff opener.

The Roseville String Ensemble’s fall 2016 concert, scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 6, begins at 3:30 p.m. in Sundin Music Hall at Hamline University. A pre-concert talk given by the ensemble’s conductor, Jim Hainlen, begins at 3 p.m.

RAHS elects Clinton in mock presidential election


A Roseville Area High School student weighs his options on www.isidewith.org in the run up to the school’s mock presidential election held Oct. 25.

The votes have been counted at Roseville Area High School and the students have made their choice, electing Hillary Rodham Clinton as the 45th President of the United States.
