Patty Wetterling to speak at South St. Paul High School

Patty Wetterling will be speaking on the dynamics of child abduction, sexual exploitation and their widespread impact on Tuesday, April 24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the South St. Paul High School Auditorium, 700 Second Ave. N.  It is open to the public and free to attend.

This presentation is created to replace fear with information and tools. Wetterling will share messages from other kids about keeping safe and becoming engaged in building a safer community.  She will challenge youth to be part of the solution and help to build a world where children have the right to grow up safe and follow their dreams.

Spirit of Sharing is partnering with surrounding community organizers, police districts, schools, the South St. Paul Education Foundation and the SSP Mayor’s Youth Task Force to galvanize awareness around the importance of child safety.  The Jacob Wetterling Resource Center has a proven history of helping kids and family.  The vision is to end all forms of child abuse, neglect and exploitation through training, education, prevention and awareness, providing care and treatment for children, families and adult survivors.
