SNAPSHOT: Ringing in summer

Mike Munzenrider • Taking shape at the corner of Larpenteur and Cleveland avenues in Falcon Heights for the past two years, the new Bell Museum now has grand opening dates: July 13-15. The University of Minnesota announced the opening April 9, along with the news that the planetarium and natural history repository has a new, streamlined name: Bell Museum. It replaces the former James Ford Bell Museum of Natural History, which was founded in 1872 and was located on the Minneapolis side of the U of M Twin Cities campus, until closing in 2016.
