Free VetsFest music festival returns to Walton Park

Using the power of music to support veterans and their families, VetsFest is coming to Oakdale’s Walton Park for a day of music, aircraft flyovers, a vintage car show and a helicopter landing. Activities for children will last throughout the day.

This free festival intends to honor the nation’s veterans, running 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 27. Throughout the day, food and beverages will be sold, people can have a photo taken inside an F4 cockpit and enjoy three band performances. 

The opening ceremony is at 11:45 a.m., with the Craig Clark Band, Pat McLaughlin Band, and Crow playing between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The closing ceremony is at 6 p.m.

VetsFest is sponsored by Vets for Music, the City of Oakdale, the Met Arts Council, the Minnesota Vietnam Vets Charity, and the MN Air Commemorative National Guard Museum.
