This tile was found outside a basement classroom at Irondale High School in New Brighton Nov. 11. According to the Mounds View school district, student responsible received “strong, swift disciplinary action.”
Amidst reports of racist incidents at schools in the metro and beyond, Roseville Area Schools said it’s doing its best to address students’ concerns following the election of President-elect Donald Trump.
Roseville Area High School senior Hsinku Lay closed out his prep wrestling career with his second appearance in the state tournament. Lay went 1-2 at 170 pounds at the event held Feb. 25-27 at Xcel Energy Center.
Lay opened the tournament with a 9-6 victory over Rochester John Marshall junior Elijah Hollins.
The Roseville Area High School boys hockey team saw its season come to an end in the Section 4AA quarterfinals on Feb. 20 at Aldrich Arena. The Raiders fell 4-1 to Suburban East Conference rival White Bear Lake.
The Roseville Area High School and Concordia Academy boys basketball teams faced tall tasks in their opening-round playoff games last week. Both faced much-higher seeded opponents and were unable to pull off any upsets.
Of the 21 state berths up for grabs at the Section 4AA gymnastics meet on Feb. 13, the team from Roseville Area High School nabbed 16 of them. The Raiders entered the meet ranked No. 1 in the state in Class AA and showed why.

Police determine threats are not serious, originated in Roseville, Michigan
The Roseville Police Department investigated threatening social media posts made against a "Roseville High School" just prior to the week of Jan. 25, and determined the threats did not involve Roseville Area High School, but were intended for a school in Roseville, Michigan.

Roseville Area High School freshman Ellie McComb drew an editorial cartoon that took top honors in The New York Times' student cartoon contest, and her current events teacher Ira Sanders says it's quite an honor.
