Cowern Elementary School wins "Coolest School"
For the second year in a row Cowern Elementary School in North St. Paul won HomeTown Creamery's "Coolest School" contest to raise the most funds among others in District 622.
Each month of the year participating schools chose a night where teachers would scoop ice cream to earn a portion of the sales for a donation to their school.
Since Cowern earned the most sales it received an additional donation from HomeTown Creamery of the same amount and a trophy. Cowern's principal, Sonya Czerepak, is pictured here receiving the award for her school. HomeTown Creamery has contributed over $2,600 this school year to the schools participating in the contest. Cowern received over $1,500 of that amount.
