Letter: 'True to my word'

To the editor:
Your article edited my full statement to imply that those named in the suit moved ahead with saving Fish Creek greenways using their personal or political agendas. This is true to my word.
Mr. Nephew, along with Mr. Fischer, independently brought Maplewood city business agendas to save Fish Creek greenway to the capitol without citizen input or council approval. He then spoke on behalf of the city -- warranting a price tag of $2.5 million of taxpayer money for his own personal and political agenda -- setting in motion the events leading to the claim as well as destruction and hard feelings.
I am a private citizen and could and would not be able to even do this. Mr. Nephew is not accountable to citizens and taxpayers.
Julie Binko
Maplewood
city council candidate
